Pame A's Art Work

SELF PORTRAIT

Picture
This is me. This was one of our first projects in art class. We started studying the face proportion and for applying it we did this project. We took a picture from ourselves and cut it in half. We paste it in a new cardboard and draw the other half of the picture with what we already learned in class. It wasn't easy, but what the teacher taught us in class was very helpful for the development of the project. I really liked this project because it was it was entertaining and when I finally finished it I felt satisfied with the result. Some things that were hard for me to do in my face were the shades because the pictures was on a scale of grey and there were many parts that are more black or grey in my face because of the 3D effect.

SYMBOLIC MAP

Picture
My life map. We studied symbolism in art. My teacher made us used what we learned the best way that she could have. We did a map that had important symbols that represent some part of our lives. It was really creative and kind of hard to do because we draw it and pain it with water paint, which is kind of hard to work with for me. I finished in 6 classes of 45 minutes. At the end I noticed it was a very good work and that I did a wonderful job. I named my map Pamar because my name is Pamela and I was born in March. I also put a lot of colors in it because I have a colorful life, even though sometimes is tough I still see everything colorful in it.

Clay Head

Picture
The best clay head. This was part of the project of face proportion. After doing the half portrait we did this little head out of clay. Then paint it however we want. Personally I think it was kind of hard because we needed to do a lot of details in the head and it was almost impossible somethings. Like the teeth or the ear, those were impossible for me. I finally finished after 3 classes and I think I did a great job because my clay head was on an exposition so that all the people from school can take a look at it. If I have to choose between the half portrait and the clay head I would definitely do the clay head because it was more challenging and also a better way of representing the face proportion because it was in 3D way.
